    The award is open to talented instrumental students in either first or second year of secondary school. The development award is designed to offer assistance to young students at the start of their music education experience to reach their full potential. The award will be presented to a male and female recipient who must attend as part of the school band to be eligible. The announcement of the successful recipients will be made at Generations in Jazz 2020.

    • two pieces contrasting in style and tempo, no longer than 5 minutes per piece
      • 12 bar Blues (mp3) with improvisation or Own choice (mp3)
      • Own choice in any jazz style (mp3)
